Nat Young's mood : It Begins

Sunday  the 25th October 2009.

We are down to the wire, the last day that one of the top 32 pro longboarders can arrrive in the Maldives.  The second and deciding contest in the 2009 Oxbow World Longboard Championship will take place at Pasta Point on Dhonveli Island in the Republic of the Maldives during the next 8 days.

The resort is very exclusive, caters to a total of 300 guests per week, only 30 of the guests can surf Pasta Point. They pay extra for the privilege of surfing this world class left, this avoids the universal problem of over crowding and hassling for waves. Coincidently the new European Champion and Oxbow wildcard for the event Remi Arauzo can not train at Pasta Point, he must take a short boat ride to Sultans, hopefully this will allow him to prepare for the competition. So far his introduction to pro surfing has not been so easy as Ramy.s only longboard was broken in 3 pieces by the airline.
