The oxbow back to powder has kicked off to a good start

The oxbow back to powder has kicked off to a good start.  All the riders have arrived and will be gathered in the French resort of Areches Beaufort until January 7th.

Today the riders spent the day checking out the different sites of the venue. The backcountry zone, the wood zone (consisting of a series of wooden features in the trees), and the perfect jump. The only inconvenience was the strong wind reaching up to 100km/h on the summits.

With current conditions and a positive atmosphere amongst the riders, we are now looking forward to a great event filled with amazing performances.

Tomorrow, Tuesday Febuary 3rd:  The riders are expected to checkout the freeride zone, where they will be picking out their lines on an untouched powder course. The afternoon will hold a free session on a secret zone the riders will be choosing.
The program may be subject to change and is dependant on weather conditions.
